Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Make a difference in the lives of children and youth ages 6-17.

    Come hang out with the kiddos; play cards, board games, help with supervision, arts and crafts, read, build relationship and connections.

    Monday-Friday:

    3:00pm-6:00pm (school year)

    6:00pm-9:00pm (all year round)

    1:00pm-6:00pm (summer)

  • Are you passionate about helping people? We are looking for folks who love to help others. The Donation centre sees 40-50 people a day, we take and sort donations, offer coffee and connection to community.

    Monday - Friday:

    Shifts: 9am-12pm and 12pm-3pm

  • Are you an organized person who likes to clean? Or do you have maintenance skills to fix small things? We could use your help. Keeping our organization clean inside and outside is a big job and we could use your help! General cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, litter pick up, donation sorting, etc. or help with a special project!

    Monday - Friday:

    Shifts: 8am-11am, 9am-12pm, 12pm-3pm

  • Passionate about cooking?

    We are looking for folks to come prep snack, lunch and supper for our children, youth programs and cleaning up afterwards.

    Monday - Friday:

    10am-1pm

    1pm-4pm

    3pm-7pm

  • We have a variety of other areas that could use support such as, social media, admin support, event coordination, etc.

    Shifts will vary, please specify on the volunteer form.

*Once your application has been processed, you will receive a confirmation email that will provide instructions on completing the remainder of your application.

Step 2: A criminal record check (CRC) may be required for some roles working with vulnerable populations – more information on completing this can be found here: https://reginapolice.ca/resources/criminal-record-check/‍ ‍

Note: the cost of the CRC will be at your expense (the cost for volunteers is $10). If you’ve completed a CRC within the 3 months prior to your application date, a copy of that is acceptable.

Step 3: A member of the NCFC team will reach out to arrange a date and time to begin volunteer orientation.

  • Do I need experience? No. Training and orientation are provided.

  • Can students volunteer? Yes, depending on the opportunity and age requirements.

  • Can groups volunteer together? Yes, we welcome corporate and community groups.

  • Is a criminal record check required? Required for some roles working with vulnerable populations.

  • How much time do I need to commit? Opportunities can be one-time, occasional, or ongoing basis.

  • Is a drivers license required? No.
