Helping Families Start the School Year with Confidence

Every August, North Central Family Centre (NCFC) hosts the Back to School Bash, ensuring children in Regina’s North Central community head back to school prepared, confident, and excited for the year ahead.

More Than Just School Supplies

For many families, the rising cost of living makes it difficult to afford even the basics. NCFC is committed to making sure no child starts the school year feeling left behind. This event goes beyond backpacks—it’s about supporting families, fostering community, and ensuring that every child steps into their classroom ready to learn.

What We Provide:

  • 500 backpacks filled with essential school supplies.

  • 500 nutritious snack bags to fuel young learners.

  • Hundreds of clothing and shoe donations to ensure kids have what they need.

  • Household items for families facing financial hardship.

  • A BBQ meal for 1,000 people.

  • Exciting activities including face painting, balloon animals, and carnival games to make this day special for kids.

Why It Matters

The Back to School Bash is about removing barriers so every child can focus on learning, not on what they lack. Through this event, we build connections with families, ensuring they have the resources and support needed not just for one day, but throughout the year.

Donate $35 to cover a backpack and supplies for one child

  1. E-transfer donations to donate@ncfc.ca (please note "Back to School" in the message)

  2. Sponsor snack bags, BBQ meals, or other event essentials

  3. Volunteer to help with games, food service, or giveaways

  4. Encourage your workplace or organization to get involved
